Hi There!

I’m Geena Ortiz, Founder and Lead Photographer of Gee Di Photography. I am a wife and mama following my passion of photography here in the Hudson Valley!

I Love My Life!

I grew up in the Hudson Valley in a small town outside of New York City. After marrying the love of my life, we packed our bags and moved a little more north to Orange County New York where we’ve been since. Growing up in the Hudson Valley has really sparked my love for the outdoors. The glowing sunsets, the beautiful bodies of water, and the open fields filled with wildflowers really drew me to my style of photography today.
I have two beautiful girls, Antonella and Liliana, with my amazing husband, Randy, who I admire more than anything in this world. We also have two pups, Kona and Captain, who we rescued and love beyond words.   

My Photography Career

I had worked in the wedding and event industry for over 10 years. Always being in front of the lens, I was ready to get behind it. I started Gee Di Photography on a whim one Wednesday afternoon. I quit my managerial job and jumped into the art of photography. 5 years later, here I am loving what I do with not a single regret.  Simply put, photography is about connection, relationships, art, passion, etc. Seeing relationships built on this strong platform of love and happiness is what drives me to do my job. There is something special about watching couples and families dance through flower fields, laugh in the middle of a kiss, hold hands while staring into each other's eyes. In those moments, there is only love and I am so privileged to be a part of that.

Fun Fact About Me

When I am not behind the camera, you can find me at home cozied up on the couch with my family, watching comedy specials with my husband, and most likely eating a good burger. Outside of my job, I work at a local flower shop for fun where I have met the most amazing people and found the love for another hobby!
